CHEVROLET DLMS ADDS $10K-TO-WIN CAJUN SPRING NATIONALS AT PIKE
COUNTY SPEEDWAY
ON
APRIL 11-12 TO 2008 SCHEDULE
CARTERSVILLE, GA – The NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model
Series has added the 100-lap $10,000-to-win Cajun Spring Nationals on
April 11-12 at Pike County Speedway in McComb, MS to its 2008 National
Touring schedule. The
event will mark the third straight season the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt
Late Model Series will visit the 3/8-mile clay oval.
“Pike County Speedway Owner J.F. Gasquet has worked hard to
bring many high-profile events to South Mississippi in all forms of
motorsports, and we’re proud to be a part of that effort,” NeSmith
Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series Founder and Director Mike Vaughn
said. “This will be one
of our premier events of the 2008 season.”
Pike
County
Speedway
will also return for the third straight season as a part of the
NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series which will run from March 28
through September 28. Weekly
Late Model racers at Pike County Speedway will race for not only a
Track Point Fund, but their best 16 finishes will count towards the
NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series Regional points chase.
The top six drivers from the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing
Series Division at Pike County Speedway will also be invited to
participate in the 3rd Annual Crate Racin’ USA Fall
Nationals Invitational Race on November 28 at Columbus Speedway in
Columbus, MS. The
Pike
County
Speedway
Track Champion will also be eligible to compete in the NeSmith
Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series Race of Champions at the Fall
Nationals.

The second round of the 2008 NeSmith
Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series National Tour will be on January 26
as a part of the Winter Classic at Columbus Speedway in Columbus, MS.
NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series officials will
announce the remainder of the 2008 National Touring schedule by the
end of next week.
